The expo has grown since its inception in 2006 from a morning event attracting 400 patrons and featuring 20 exhibitors, to a full day event last year attracting 4000 patrons and 105 exhibitors. Who knows what 2010 will bring – but it’s sure to be bigger and better than ever! Rotary Photo Competition Flyer rotary-photo-competition-2010.pdf Δ 1 Rotary photo competition on againWhether you are a happy snapper or delight in the joy of a well constructed photograph, it’s time to put your technical and artistic skills to the test in this year’s Rotary Club of Glass House Mountains Charity Calendar Photo competition. The competition this year will again celebrate the beauty of the Glass House Mountains. The theme will be Farming Activity featuring the Glass House Mountains prominently in the picture .The selected images will then be used in the 2011 Rotary Charity Calendar. The focus of the photo competition and the calendar is to present. Agriculture, Livestock, Horticulture, or any faming activity & must include the Glass House Mountains. Images (up to a maximum of three per entrant) must be delivered to the Beerwah Library, along with the completed entry form, by May 4 If you do your best work on the other side of the lens, then you can have your say as part of the People’s Choice awards, with a display at the Rotary Glasshouse Country Sustainability and Garden Expo, on Sunday May 23, at the Beerwah Community Hall and Turner Park, from 9.00am to 4.00pm. So get your cameras out and capture the beauty of our region. There are great prizes up for grabs for the 12 images chosen by the judges as well as the image chosen as the people’s choice. All visitors to the photo display who vote for the people’s choice will go into the draw for a wonderful prize, so don’t forget to visit the Beerwah Library to view the display of images from May 23 to 25, and cast your vote for the image which you would like to be the cover of the 2011 calendar . Entry forms, which include all entry conditions, are available at Beerwah Camping, Beerwah Library, Glasshouse Country News, Beerwah Photographics, and Serendipity@Glass House Mountains.
