Information About Beerwah

Beerwah is a growing town located slightly inland along the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, Australia and is positioned at the foot of Mount Beerwah (also known as the twins) which is one of 13 volcanic peaks along the Glasshouse Mountain range.

Beerwah forms part of a collection of small towns namely Beerburrum, Glasshouse Mountains, Beerwah, Landsborough, Peachester and Mooloolah. It is also part of the Glasshouse Mountain range and is located on the Glasshouse Mountains tourist route midway between Glasshouse Mountains and Landsborough.

It is easily accessible from the Bruce Highway and from the Old Bruce Highway. It is the gateway to the western towns of Peachester and Kilcoy.

Beerwah is on the edge of the Blackall Mountain range, approximately an hour by car or train from Brisbane, reasonable access to Noosa, Caloundra, Nambour, Bribie Island, Lake Summerset and the Blackhall range on the west including Montville, Maleny and Mapleton.

Beerwah was originally a farming community and may once have been dense forest, the primary farming industry in the region which includes pineapple, citrus fruit, tobacco, macedamia nuts, pure organic products and limited grazing.

Beerwah has a golf course, a train station, shopping centres and Australia Zoo.

Beerwah is located approximately 70kms from Brisbane. Approximately 35m above sea level.

The nearest international airport is Brisbane Airport. The nearest highway is the Bruce Highway. The nearest seaside resort is Caloundra City.
