AboutBeerwahDotOrgAbout Beerwah (dot) orgBeerwah.org was set up by Roland Munyard in 2003 as a way of offering a noticeboard to the community and surrounding areas of Beerwah and as a way of demonstrating commitment to the community amongst whom he has chosen to live. Since those early days the site has undergone numerous changes and developments and has kept abreast of current technologies including changes like user updateable web pages, advanced search functions as well as search engine relevancy. One of the primary goals is accurate, timely information rather than bright, flashy colours and pop-up ads. I have chosen a fresh, timeless appearance and placed content and information at the top of the list of requirements. Another area that my intrigue patrons and visitors to Beerwah.org is the fact that much of the contributions have been offered to the community for free for instance the community websites. Why would anyone do anything for free? There are numerous and ongoing projects around the world which have been offered to the greater community without cost and without underlying motives. If you are interested in this you will need to Google the internet to find out about the likes of Richard Stallman who set up the Free Software Foundation in 1994 or Linus Torvalds who gave the world Linux. Anyway, back to Beerwah.org your support is appreciated and if you would like information about your business, club or community news published please contact me. Will it always be free?Probably not, since it was never always free. However, clubs, groups and individuals who meet the criteria may continue to benefit from free services. In the future it is very likely that Beerway.org will promote a classified section as well as a local directory of businesses, community information as well as services and personalities. The Beerwah local directory will most likely exist online as well as in printed booklet form, clearly these types of services cannot always be operated successfully without charge. How can I contribute? As a resident and community member, who you are and what you do is important to myself and those around you. I therefore value any article, news information or viewpoint which you may wish to present about Beerwah and the surrounding areas. If you wish to contribute anything, including photographs, local history, news please contact me http://www.beerwah.org/contact.html on the site contact form or call me on 54940001. What can I contribute?
