What have we done recently?

A Group of Scouts, Venturers and Leaders recently attended Night Hawk, an annual overnight hike approximately 12 – 15km. Each patrol has to participate in scout based activities along the hike, such as first aid, construction, mapping, knots, quiz, initiative and everyone’s favourite the Milo station. At each base the patrols are awarded points for how well they know the challenge and how good their teamwork is.

This years Night Hawk was held at Goombungee (between Crows Nest and Dalby), our patrol left the campsite at 5:30pm and returned at 10:30pm, after completing all the tasks. The temperature got as low as –7oC overnight, the drink bottles, washing up water and Scouts froze.

133 patrols participated in this year’s Night Hawk, and Glasshouse Mountains came in 13th position. The best placed patrol in the district. GREAT JOB GUYS!
