Do you like dancing Old Time and New Vogue style? The Mount Kilcoy Dance Group are hosting a New Years Eve Dance this year on Friday 31st, December, in the Kilcoy Memorial Hall. The doors will open at 7.30 pm with the dance commencing at 8pm and ending just after midnight enabling all dancers to enjoy the NEW yEAR IN and seeing the Old year OUT. Entry is $7 Adults and $5 High School students.

The dress theme for the evening will be black and white with a DASH of colour, come along and surprise the group with your creative dress sense. Bring your leather soled dance shoes and change into them inside the hall (that way you keep the shoes dry and ready to dance the night away on the lively wooden floor.

Rod (Technic Tone) is the band master for the evening. Supper is provided at 10pm by the country ladies. You will be refreshed after sampling their home baked cakes and tarts, along with sandwiches that melt in your mouth. Pots of tea and Coffee will also perk you up and get you back on the dance floor for more dancing.

So far this year the hosts, the Mount Kilcoy Dance Group have held Benefit dances, a Heritage dance plus they have a saturday night dance every second saturday of the calendar month in their Mount Kilcoy Hall. Practice nights for newcomers, and for anyone to brush up on their dance steps is every tuesday evenings throughout the year in the Mount Kilcoy Hall from 7.30pm till 9.30pm for the princely sum of $3 each. A short supper is conducted after the practice (everyone attending just brings a biscuit or two to share) and a cup of tea or coffee is provided.

Travellers passing through often drop in to the dances, so why not come along and see for yourself the fun everyone has. It will be a great night out to celebrate the passing out of the Old year and seeing the New year IN.....

Some of the photos are of the Heritage night which was held on 14th August.... and the supper you an enjoy if you come along on New Years Eve...

Put in on your calendar, its the Festive Season...we welcome you to dance the night away.
