NewBeerwahConcretePlantOpensWithAccentOnEnvironmentNew Beerwah Concrete Plant Opens With Accent On EnvironmentEnvironmental factors and safety were paramount in a new concrete plant which opened for business at Beerwah in June.. The continuing expansion of the range area and Beerwah in particular resulted in the establishment of the new facility. Hy-tec Industries (Qld), a wholly owned subsidiary of Adelaide Brighton Cement which has plants in Melbourne, Sydney and the Sunshine Coast, established the modern plant at the northern end of Beerwah Parade, trading as Neil Mansell Concrete. The plant comprises a 60-tonne cement silo and a 60-tonne ash silo with dust filtration devices to maintain the environmental and staff safety aspects. Trucks which mix and deliver the concrete range from a mini-vehicle (up to 2.6 cm) to eight-wheel models which can carry up to 7.4 cm. The firm said that with huge projects such as the crossing at Beerwah plus a number of large-scale housing projects, the company was well set up to play our part in the range’s future development.
